on my first call to jury duty when i was 18 i actually went! I was called into a trial.  the lawyers narrow out candidates for the jury. I waited until the lawyers were done and the judge asked if there was any other reason someone could not be on the jury. I explained to the judge that when i was 14 my aunt was murdered and i sat thru the whole trial and that i had post traumatic stress from being in a court.  I continued that i knew it was my civic duty and that was why at only 18 I showed up but would rather just sit in the lobby until my 8 hours were up.  she asked what county this happened in, we chatted for a second and she sent me home and told me my name would be taken out of the system.... i would never get jury duty again.  12 years later and Ive never been called! you might try an angle like this but beware i had a compassionate female judge and was telling the truth. good luck!

tell them you do not speak English. or your IQ is really low.

Tell them of certain prejudices that you may or may not possess- they seek open minds. Until I partake of the booty that the government confiscates this will be my mantra. there should be a lottery for jury duty. Anything less is an unwillingness to share in the gains of p****y by the masses, who are, after all most affected.
