How to avoid loose/saggy skin after weight loss?

i know theres no specific way to do it, but are there techniques that u can do to reduce the chance etc? like drinking water, or stretching, or exercise... ??

  1. That kind of problems occurs with over-fast weight loss, or HUGE amounts of weight loss.  Typically you'd expect to see the issue with losing 200+ pounds.

    Losing weight at a normal rate (2-3 lbs of fat a week) is fine.  Your skin shrinks along with your body.

    If you are very large, and losing a couple hundred lbs, then you will probably need to see a plastic surgeon.


  2. I agree with The Chew. Also it is better to deal with loose skin while your losing weight as opposed to afterwards, so make sure you do lots of toning exercises (swimming and Pilate's in particular)

  3. strength training to build muscle will help some but unfortunately it will happen if it is alot of weight lost. your skin loses its elasticity especially when you start to get a little older
