I have done innumerable mistakes in my past. Due to this for most of the events which occur in my typical day, my mind tends to remember the past mistakes, which makes me anxious and depressed. This is affecting my work and normal functioning. What can be done to resolve this ?

  1. well same 4 me...being thru same thing....i feel we both need a psycriatist...

  2. Just find a way to make yourself happy each day.

  3.      Join the club!  We've all made mistakes, some huge, some not so huge.  Just don't dwell on them.  Find something that really interests you and pursue it.  There's no magic formula, I'm afraid.  You simply have to put the past behind you, learn from your mistakes, and carry on.  There's an old saying that mistakes are merely the stepping stones to success.  Look at it like that, and perhaps you'll feel better.  But believe me, we all have mistakes in our lives.  You're not alone!

    Good luck

  4. You need to feel your pain from the past and go on. Maybe to be put on med and see a professional to talk things out. If you don't will follow you with every job or might get fired. This is not to be mean at all. My sister won't listen to me either of let go.Everyone made mistakes and we learn from them and go  on with our life's.Can't let this get the best of you and if it does the past won.Need to climb out of the depressed state and anxious. Again this is not to be mean and just want to help you and save your job.The anxious will go away with pill's or deal with the things and say the h**l with every thing else and is a new day. good luck

  5. If you pay attention to what you are doing now and what is happening around you your mind will be too occupied to think of the past.

  6. dont think bout it

  7. It's not easy, but the only way is to get yourself to open up to people and talk about it frankly. Tell them also how it made you feel, and maybe how you learned from your mistakes. We all make mistakes. If necessary, see a good psychologist, there's nothing there to be ashamed of. If you're religious, talk to someone in your religious group that's in authority and whom you can trust, this may also help some people. Finally, devise strategies that should help you cope with your problems effectively, such as how to more clearly focus on your work, time management, positive thinking, etc.
