How to avoid this while blotting?

I find that when I have to touch up my makeup (which is once a day) that my makeup ends up smudging and smearing, especially on my nose and my forehead. The makeup I use is good quality,but I need to find a way to avoid it from smudging and smearing up when I add more to touch up because it ends up looking terrible. Is there any way to avoid this? maybe a different moisturizer or something? I would really appreciate some tips. My skin tends to get somewhat oily in those places so maybe thats the problem but I want my makeup to look freshly applied all day and if not I just want to avoid that smudged,caked look when blotting with powder.

Is it sweat or oil that is causing the blotchiness? Than buy some oil-blotting sheets and gently dab at your makeup - don't wipe - and it will remove any sweat or grease.

If it isn't just sweat/oil/grease, consider trying a primer or finisher. A primer is basically like a moisturizer but a bit thicker so that your foundation clings to your skin. A finisher can be a spray or powder that sets your makeup in and keeps it fresh all day.

I would highly recommend Clean and Clear Oil Blotters you can get them from Walgreen's or any drugstore for less then 5$, they are designed to specifically not smudge your makeup and remove excess oil.

try using the kiss my face balancing act facial toner. its meant to be a face wash, but you can actually use it to freshen up your look. when your makeup starts to wear away, spritz this on yourface,then pat it dry with a tissue once. your skin will be hydrated, and your makeup will look freshly applied.
