How to balance work and home?

I work a lot of hours so when I get home i just want to relax. My wife who does not work wants to go run the streets. When i dont, she get mad and blames me for her being bored. I am totally stressed trying to make both parties happy. Any suggestions?

Talk to her and then work out some compromise.  Just as you've worked hard all day, she has too, only her work was in the house.  You get to leave your place of employment and go home.  She doesn't.  That's hard on her.  If you can work a deal where some days you get what you want and some days she gets what she wants you'll have a much more relaxing time.

The best thing is to provide some sort of vent for her. Try to find out what interests her  something like home business or  studies or some baby sitting stuff. This will keep her occupied and may be at the end of the day she herself will be tired that she will not ask you to take her out.

she is in the house all day with the kids presumably? me and my hubby had the same issues so i got a part time job for the evenings so i could have "me" time away from the kids whilst still earning and he could have quality time at home with the kids...we areb still trying to find time for each other though but the balance is getting there and the divide has been healed

I am a wife who works and studies.  Maybe you could encourage your wife to take up some kind of interest such as going to the gym, taking classes, volunteering.

She could also get a part time job.

However, you could also compromise and try to go out sometimes but not every day.

If you are working more than 48 hrs a week that is way too much.You do not need to work over 40 an week except m aybe every other week.

If you have to ,give up some if the "stuff" you are in debt for that you will not die without.

In other words live like you would if you were only working 32 hrs a week, budget and then you will have more time.I have met so many guys who have lost thier wives and families, or thier kids became criminals because the parent(s) were not there, but busy working to buy them, x box's game boys, cell phones, etc etc tec.Your wife would rather have YOU than the money.

Next friday take off(do not tell her) and run to town ,come back with some flowers and candy and say 'cmon, Lets go do something fun!Just you and me!

She will be so tickled she won't know what to do son.

Hey...sounds like me! I work and travel all the time...the last thing i want to do when i get home is go out...But I do...I kick myself in the *** and do it...Otherwise she goes nuts cooped up all day (does not work outside - stays home). Dude...you can rest when you retire...for now...just do it.
