  1. Well I work at a local grocery store and I say that bargaining is ok as long as the bargaining does not get crazy.


  2. First of all as a shopkeeper you are going to have to accept the fact that the prices you have set will change.

    When a customer approches you and requests the price, state your ideal price. (be sure your making money out of this).

    Bargaining isn't bargaining without some debating. The customer will ask if you can sell the item at a reduced price. This is when you say "No. I can't do that, I'm loosing money"

    You want to enforce to the customer that your fixed on your price. Continue until you refuse to sell or you sell at a reasonable price that benifits both of you.

    NOTE: When stating your first price try to give some leeway for bargaining. Set your price $10 - 5 more than original.
