I am going away to university in 16 days and I want to barricade my room so my parents cannot get in and find anything that I may have left behind/ forgot to clean up. Any suggestions?

  1. Well push your dresser, bed or something in front of the door. I mean stack stuff up so that if they try to open it theres no chance at all they could get in. And just go out the window. If its 2 story house use a ladder. There you go!

  2. Your best bet is to clean up your room so your parents will not find anything you would not want them to find.

No matter what you try to do to barricade the room, your parents are the ones paying for the room and have the right to go into the room no matter how much you try to stop them.

And to be honest, if my child left for university and went through such efforts to lock up his room and prevent my entry - the very first thing I would do upon his departure would be to enter the room and search it top to bottom.

You are better off just not having things in your room that you would prefer your parents not to find.

  3. Just put up some of that yellow crime scene tape.
