  1. Never mind the breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. That is good for cold weather because it warms the air before it gets to you lungs. That's about it.

All I can say is just keep at it. When you start out running it's usually torture for a couple of weeks before you start to feel any real benefit. If you're getting out of breath that's fine. Your cardio vascular system's just out of shape. That will probably be the thing that will get better fastest. I'd say after three weeks you'll stop being so out of breath and will be getting tired in your legs more often.

If you're getting cramps or splits, eat bananas and don't eat or drink anything an hour or two before you run. Also some sort of regime will help regulate your running and make it easier. It's all about routine and rythem. You should run a few days off with rest days at regular intervals. I go two days on one day off.

For nutrition I'll give my own example what's worked for me:

Pre run. A tin (425 g I think) of low fat creamed rice.

Post run. 3 banana milkshake with low fat milk and honey and a 185 g tin of tuna. This is just to replace the carbs and protein I lost in my muscles imediately after the exercise. Later I'll have a full dinner to get my daily requirements.

    Hope this helps.

  2. from my experience, training for running is a very simple thing.  the more you train, the better you do.  i would take the time you have left and try to run a little further every day.  it doesn't matter if its a block ot a house further than the day before, but atleast its progress.

lastly, i would avoid running on a track.  i could get intimidating to know how far you have to go.  i would try an out and back.  simply go down your road and turn back.  try to get a feel for how far you could go and keep trying to go a little further each day.

    hope i helped

  3. running is hard work. The more you train the better you get so keep runnin. Run farther every day to improve. If you have an ipod use that to keep u entertained (thats wat i do) find a friend that likes to run and start runnin with them. hope i helped
