  1. My father use to be a pro-pool player and he always tells me that all you have to do to become a good player is practice and have a smooth stroke.  He says if you have a good stroke its pretty easy from there

  2. get good information before you practice. there are a lot of books and videos you can find at book stores or online. no matter how much you practice, if you practice the wrong things, you'll never get better.

  3. A good practice (i.e) Practicing daily or four days a weeks may help you well versed in Billiard and Accuracy and Concentration is the very important thing to be kept in mind that when u play... Keep ur mind concentrated at ur game not in any other if u like to have s*x inbetween the game ur playing go have it and come then ur free of mind and if u want to have water..come on drink it rather waiting for Recess time... Have water then u will be free.. and ur concentration will be on ur game then on.. OK thats all

  4. the most important thing is to shot straight.the best way to practice this is on a snooker table.place the white on the centre spot of break off line.try to shoot straight so that the ball rolls over the black spot etc and comes back up the same path it went down.

  5. practice

  6. Glad to know there's actually other girls who like pool!

Play a lot is the best thing to do.  First, you get a new cue, it will help you get used to something to play with instead of having to play with scrubby house cues.  Next, find a partner to play with as much as possible, even if they stink, it's still fun.

Get the stance right.  As a girl, it's easier for me to point one foot towards the cue ball and the other outward to level and hold myself into position.  Keep in mind that your cue needs to be as level with the table at all times possible.  (Meaning that the stick should be parallel to the pool table)  Keep your head down, too.  It's easier to see the ball and angle you are trying to hit.  (Plus it makes you look slick---->)

Keep your forearm and elbow at a 90 degree angle and this will keep your arm steady.  It takes getting used to but it helps in the long run.  Keep your bridge hand steady at all times, too.  That is where the point of contact with the ball is closest to.

9 Ball is a really good fame to start out with because it's less confusing with only 9 balls on the table, and it gives you a head start with positioning the ball.  That's my favorite game, by the way :)

The number one thing about being a good billiard player is having confidence.  It doesn't matter how many balls you miss in that pocket-- at least you are practicing.  Don't be a sore loser because that shows that you are not a confident player, and it also lets the other person know that you really didn't enjoy playing a game with them.

Have fun, and I hope this helps you!

  7. I would have to agree with the other answers practice practice practice, there are several warm up shots and drills that you can do to practice your accuracy, accuracy is important, also the basics learning your stance how to hold your cue stick the fundementals are importants for anyone that has been playing 20 years or 1 year, play different people that you wouldnt neccessarily always play, play different people for the experience and practice there are so many different situations to be put in, Patience Patience Patience, Pool is a game of patience knowing what to do how to do it and executing where you need to execute to win. Good Luck

  8. Imagination make the 3d pool into 2d by your imagination play.. This only comes with the practice.

So Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, until you are perfect.

  9. playing every day!
