How to be a good leader and teacher in an early childhood setting?

i need help from you all!

how can you influence your personal development as a leader and teacher in preschool setting?

What do you think makes you a good leader and

childcare teacher?

Anybody can share your experiences with me? Especially those teachers out there :)

TO be a good leader is to be an all rounder, can you explain this to me?

Children in general,warm-up to Genuine love & care.Modulation of the Voice is very essential.Never shout -out loud,when the message can be conveyed in a patient tone.Reward the child with sweets & toys/books ect. Distract it gently but firmly.Give them stars[made out of silver paper] to stick in their good-behaviour book.Call them to recite poems & short stories to liven up their moods.Share their fears & laughter.Meet with their parents/guardians at times other than parent-day meetings;take them to garden shows,zoos ect Teach them cleanliness & hygeine,as u go along,Leave your tensions at home &meet your pre-schoolers with a happy face & a good smile !

I teach older kids (7 - 12 grade) but have small preschool children at home.  I think the more hands on work you do the better. learn from those who have been in the field a long time.  Read...read....read!  To be well-rounded, means to know lots of different things...be cultured, well-read, and knowledgeable about lots of different things.  Go to museums, theater shows, etc.  Implement what you see and learn in your classroom on a basic level for small children.  That's how you lead.

I am not a teacher. But i know somethings about leadership. You should think of as many analogies as possible. When someone has a problem use analagies/metaphors/etc. to fix the problem. Make them think about what it really means thats what makes them learn. The more they think the better it will turn out. Although, you may also teach the student about morales and personal character. Not many people have leaders such as that too teach them that. Most likely im thinking you are a female teacher. Ask your husband how he was brought up and try to learn from that and besides being a preschool teacher try to be a mom and dad to all the kids in class.

Teachers & Doctors once had great respect in this society. Of late this is changing owing to diluted value system by some greedy Profesionals. A Good leader should be ready to sacrifice himself for the good cause of his followers. A Good Teacher at any cost should NEVER compromise on Moral values & should be role model for all students.

Put them in the right track when they tend to derail,

Should be easily reachable,act as Friend at times understand & guide the students during their downtimes & win their confidence.

In order to be effective in an early childhood setting you need to be professionally trained from an institute which considers early childhood an important milestone in the development of children.

The theoretical and practical inputs you receive will give develop skills needed for teaching, improve your interpersonal skills, increase your understanding of children - and give you the confidence you need to be a leader in the given setting.

"Once a teacher, always a student." A good teacher, should be honest and sincere in the facilitating the development and education of her students.  

Teachers are not remembered on how much they know but more on how they truly cared for the welfare of their students.
