How to be a good study abroad student?

I'm going to study abroad this summer for 1 month...i was wondering if anyone has any tips for me to be a good student in another country and study well, you know, so that I can enjoy the culture, but also make good grades. (I'm going to Italy)

Learn the etiquette and culture of that country, so you know what is respectful and what is not.

Be open to new ways of thinking, to new people, to new things.

Don't lose yourself and forget your purpose of going abroad (to learn, have fun, and to study/get good grades). Be disciplined to have a good balance between study/play, work/play, not too much of one side.

Don't overspend.

Be friendly and sincere to your friends.

Use your common sense, really.
