How to be a good swimmer?

I'm going to start swimming classes for school in like a bout a week and i don't know how to swim. the only thing i could do is a doggy paddle which is not cool. i should already know how to swim a little bit so i can be ready. any web sites or videos that can help me know how to swim?

Just pay attention in class and you will be fine.

I joined the swim team in HS without knowing how to swim well and picked it up pretty quickly.

If you still want to check out a few videos for ideas, do a search on youtube.

well the only way to learn how to swim is practice and learn it yourself.

its like learning how to walk. just take it slow and step by step.
