  1. I took a typing class when I was in junior high and I've been typing a lot ever since.

    Personally, I'm almost unable to type without correcting myself as I type, but I guess you could leave mistakes in if it would help you overall.  My fingers feel weird if I don't type correctly and I have to go back and correct myself.

    A class worked for me.  Don't know about other people...

When I was about 12 years old I practiced and practiced typing, I think the first step is to know where all the keys are, once you know where all the keys are you're bound to know where every letter is and how to use it. Now that I'm 23 years old I'm able to achieve a typing speed of about 67 words per minute.

    I also took classes I'm on my third typing class, I was already typing about 65 words in Beginning Keyboarding class, and now I'm on Advanced Keyboarding and I'm taking about 67, not much of a huge improvement but I've seen people who were starting out and they were only able to type about 24 words per minute.
