How to be an Olympic judge?

After watching the women's gymnastic all around and listening to the commentaors be stunned at low score and high scores for the China, it made me think.

How do you get selected to become a jusdge for the Olympics? How many judges from each country on the panel? How are they selected to be judge?

  1. Well first you must be in judging business for quite a while and IOC consider you good enough, after you become a IOC selected judge for olympics they will distribute all judges to events which are as less personal to them as possible, ususally you will never get a chance to judge your own country's game, and for number of countries, you don't need to be a good basketball player to be a good ref so its pretty average for all countries.


  2. You  need to be hand picked by the communist Chinese government.

  3. You're going to have to become a top judge in the Federation Internationale de Gymnastique (International Gymnastics Federation), that's where they pick their Olympic judges from.  It's the same with all sports.  Fencing referees come from the Federation Internationale d'Escrime (International Fencing Federation).
