How to be an actress?

How long do u think i would need training for before i audition somewhere and how long would it take to get on a tv show? and what else can i do?

It really all depends on you, how dedicated you are, how good your teacher is, how fast you learn, how much base talent you already have, how much time you invest outside of class. There is no set rule.

You can maybe do some community theatre and/or extra work on films in your area.

Get some acting training. Find a good school and a good teacher to help you learn how to act.

While you are doing that, try and understand what it really means to be an actor, what actors do...really while they are trying to get work, how little money most actors make, why actors struggle to make ends meet and how successful actors are able to continuously get work. You need to learn business skills, networking skills, communication skills and a lot more. But that stuff can come later.

For now, just get into an acting school and if you have time, try and get some extra or community theatre work. The extra work will be a good educational experience. You'll get a chance to see how things work on set.

Practice! Keep on doing it. Get an agent. Practice with a person, group, or company that really make you think "I want to do that". Make yourself clear if you want either a JOB or an artistic activity that will make you happy. Being notorious is not necessary being talented, or, even worse, it will make you compromise many ethical things that you might not like to do or act in plays that you dont really like. The commercial circuit not always cross roads with the pure artistic lane, so you have to be focused in what you deeply wish. Welcome! Best of luck
