Hi. I've visited LPGA webpage but it didn't entirely answer my question. I'd be grateful for the exact information what documents I need to submit and where, in order to be a qualified/certified autogas installer? I suppose there should be some training for the future installers but where can I find these? Who runs them? Additionally, what certificates should a garage posses to be able to convert cars for LPG? THX for any posts :)

  1. Job Description: Alternative Fuels is a hot new field, because the United States and other countries realize that they need to decrease their dependence on foreign oil. Therefore manufacturers are devoting great time and funds to the research and development of automobiles that run off alternative fuels.

  2. Look in google for the nearest "Ferrellgas" lpg outlet and they should be able to furnish that information.

Ferrellgas is sold around most area's of the US and Canada.

The problem with converting auto's is not too many places to get filled. amd especially at night.  Also, LP gas does not give the HP nor performance of gasoline, and when you factor in road taxes, it's really not that cheap.

      I hope this helps.

Advantage, it is much cleaner burning.

  3. China has many schools.

  4. It probably depends on where you live. You can check with your local state and federal offices, and community colleges for certification routes. I'm assuming you're already a licensed mechanic.
