Question:

How to be friends with cousin that ignores you??

I have a cousin that is 15, the same age as me and my sister. We only see her during family gatherings or holidays at our grandparents house. The past few visits she has changed a lot and has become boy crazy and drinks some. (her mom lets her) This past visit especially, she has started to almost completely ignore us and she just visited with all the adults (aunts and uncles) the whole time. Usually we would always hang out together with our other cousins but instead she just ignores us and talks with the adults. She thinks she is all that, and we are immature kids or something. My sister and I don't really share the same interests as she does and we have different morals than her obviously. We tried to start conversations with her but it would end up no where and she would go off and do something else. How can we get her to be more involved the next time we see her?

  1. Eventually you will catch up to her "maturity"; not that you will necessarily be like she is now, but you wont care as much, and probably by then she will have got over thinking she is so good as well. Dont worry about it.

  2. you cant.....and i suggest u stay away from her, as she is a bad influence!

havent you been told......theres a difference between FAMILY and relatives. Sorry kiddo, looks like you can chalk her up as just another "relative"

  3. if she is 15 and drinks, trust me you don't need her friendship  you are better off with out her close to you.

  4. She is being very immature  but sometimes kids of her age act like this...they think it's cool ..if she doesn't want to talk with you or your sister ..then there is nothing you can do...but i think if she does this the next time she is in your company...just ignore her ..go off and do some fun stuff without her..leave her with the adults..she will grow out of this silly behaviour but in the meantime don't go along with her games.
