  1. I'm a senior this yr and still have no idea how to do that. Enjoy high school and be careful with who you trust. High school is a first hand lesson life sucks.

  2. Dear friend,

Make a time table from getting up in the morning till you go to bed in the night. It would be better, if you get up early in the morning i.e. before sub rise say, at 4 a.m. From 4 to 6 a.m. take up your studies. Morning studies are good from memory point of view. Then take up your routine things - toilet, brushing, bathing etc. Get ready for the school. In the school, be attentive to the lectures delivered. After the school is over, come home & relax for a while. Take evening tea and attend to your home work. Then you can go for games/play. You can also amuse yourself with selected TV programmes. Then take your dinner and revise your books and go to bed.

  3. 1 - Simplicity of organization is key.  If your plan for organization is over-complicated, it will fall apart.

#2 - Have one way to track what you need to do (homework, projects, etc.) and have it with you all the time.  Some kids use planners, others find them too easy to lose.  I had one kid who kept notes on a 3x5 index card that he kept in his wallet.  Whenever he needed to make a "to-do" note, he always had his tracking device with him...and it was cheap and renewable!

#3 - Friends push friends.  Getting and keeping friends who are involved and hard working will help you to do the same.  So choose your friends wisely!  Some would say that if you're smarter than all of your friends, then you need to find some new friends.  There is a nugget of truth to this.  Having friends that are smarter than us (in some ways, maybe not in others) helps push us to become smarter.  And in areas that we're smarter than them, we return the favor.

  5. Definitely have a before school and after school schedule/routine and stick to it.  My daughters routine goes something like this:  1)  After school she rests for about 1 hour either calling her friends, playing on the computer, or watching TV.  She also has a snack about this time.  You could take a nap during this time if you want to.   2)  After that hour, then she does homework for about 1 hour and 15 min max.  3)  I have her stop homework so she can rest her mind for about 20 min and during this time she does her chores.  4)  Then she resumes with homework if she has any left.

Now a days alot of the binders sold at the stores for school have an accordian file in them for at least 5 different slots.  Label them with your subjects and keep the appropiate papers in them.  This year my daughter did not want one of those binders so therefore we just got her a thin accordian file with about 12 slots that she can carry.  In the back slots she inserted her calculator, mini theasaurs, and will keep a pencil pouch in it.  We also got her a weekly planner that about 4 x 8 in size.  One of the slots is labeled "Notices".  This is where she will put any school memo's/club or sport info and just notices of any kind not pertaining to her subjects.  The front slots are labeled with her main subjects.  I hope this makes sense.

This year my daugher chose a couple of double binders (there like 2 one inch binders in one and you just flip it to get to the other binder).  We got dividers and we put one divider in each of the binders with loose leaf paper in them in order to keep the paper separate from any notes she may take.  She labled the sides of the binders so she knows what subject it's for.

Keep at least 1 file at home and go through all your stuff at least once a week (preferably on a Sunday before you start the week out) and throw away anything you think you will no longer need.  If you think your may need something and don't want to throw it away but at the same time you don't need to keep on you put it in you file at home for reference later.  Definitely go through your stuff at least once a week so that things don't get cluttered up.  Do the same with your locker.  I suggest you go through your locker every Monday.  Get to school a little early on Mondays to clean out your locker.

I gave you a lot more info than what I had anticipated but I'm reeeaaalllyy organized.
