  1. oooo... when you find out let me know because i have received that message like 20 times. ;0)

I can almost promise you it is a scam though!

  2. SCAM!

  3. I get those emails at least twice a day.  it is a scam.  don't even bother with it, i just delete them.  you aren't going to win 100,000,000 through an email

  4. FreeLotto is, in fact, a scam.

What they do is they tell you that you have won a prize, but that due to the nature of their system they can only put the credit onto your credit card rather than mailing you a check.  That is the first red flag.

If you give them your credit card number (which thousands of people have done) they do not give you your credit for the prize money.  Instead, they "sign you up" (for what?  I have no idea) and charge your credit card for 9.99 every month.  There's no way to get them to stop charging it, and even the credit card companies cannot get them to stop-- that is the most unsettling part.

If you go to Ripoffreport.com and search "FreeLotto", it turns up 352 complaints.  You can go browse through those and I guarantee you that you wont consider trying to get the "money" after reading.

The best way to avoid being scammed is to remember that nothing in this world is free-- and unless you contacted a company in the first place, it's weird for them to be contacting you.  Whenever you feel something is sketchy, a quick search on Google will always calm or justify your fears.

    Best Wishes
