  1. Fritz 8 is a very strong chess programme. Even on a normal PC, it is of similar strength to the top human players in the world.

If you're sick of losing to it, you can change a number of settings to get it to play weaker. When you want to play a game, play with those options. The big one is "rating" - you can get it to play like a weak club player if you dial it all the way down. There are various training modes too. Consult your manual for a description of these.

However, at full strength, it will likely beat you every time.

  2. very strong chess engine...i like to play the engines because i see how it would think in certain situations and i acually learned how to play by comp many years ago...doesnt play the same as humans....ie...they dont make mistakes...they always play the best move possible....good for learning openings....try diff openings and learn how they would open to ur moves and apply them on human players..

  3. Make better moves than it.:)

    There is no magic bullet.

  4. Use help from Fritz 9.
