  1. easy stay close and hit 'em in the mid section.

  2. thats 8 inches differential, thats alot, what division are you? Im in lightheavy and I never fight anybody over 6'2

  3. Buy a Bat!!!!! haha jk.....ummm...look 4 is wak spots dont ever 4get "the bigger they are....the harder they fall!!"  go 4 the legs whatever looks  the weakest hit it....

  4. Go in with straight punches and keep your chin down, then once inside short power punches i.e. uppercuts and hooks to the body. If he does not have good training most likely with his height he will not fight using it to his advantage but either way just keep your chin down and don't get caught on your way in. Perfect fighter to watch on how to do so is Jose luis Castillo in his prime.

  5. Speed and staying in close to where he can't effectively use his reach.

    No guarantees at these prices.

  6. I am 5'8" and I fought a lot of guys taller than me, many with good jabs.  I am assuming you are both orthodox (right-handed) boxers.

Here are some tips that can help:

1 - Circle your opponent as you punch.  You will shorten the distance for your punches and force him to turn with you so in essence you are dictating his movement.

2 - Jab with him.  If he is taller with a good jab, you want to stop him from jabbing.  When he jabs, parry it right in front of your face and time him.  Once you time his jab, shoot one at the same time he shoots his.  If you parry his and land yours several times, you will force him to abandon it.  He will think "Every time I throw this jab, he blocks it and I get hit right in the nose and mouth, I am not jabbing anymore!"

3 - Make the ring small.  Cut off his movements.  If he moves left, you move right.  And vice versa.  Cut the ring off and next thing you know, he will be back in a corner.

4 - Make the most when you get inside.  Hooks to the body and head and overhand rights.  Force him to fight in an uncomfortable position.

AND DON'T FORGET HEAD MOVEMENT WHEN YOU ARE WORKING YOUR WAY IN!!!  Make sure that you are a "hard target to hit".

I have a fight posted on youtube where I fought a guy about 6'2".  If you go to youtube, search under "Michael Jordan LHU" and it will bring it up.  Hopefully that will give you some pointers.

  7. Do not stay in close where all of his power lie, big mistake! Use your footwork and stay on the outside bobbing and weaving, making him miss until he gets tired. Then you can move in and finish him executing combos to the body and head until he drops from exhaustion.

  8. when he swings go for the rib cage and then uppercut. thats how i knock people out in boxing.....
