How to become a Canadian citizen?

I'm from the Philippines, and my family will be migrating to Canada soon. My dad applied as a skilled worker. How can we become Canadian citizen? How long will it take? And if I'm already a Canadian citizen, is it possible for me to go back to the Philippines to finish my study and go back to Canada again after four years? How?
