a college degree, and it helps to have a few years experience in the fields such as accounting... forensics, law enforcement... and then apply, get selected and make it through their academy...

Military experience doesnt hurt as well.

go to the FBI website,,,,usually a business or accounting degree...

Choose your degree based on your interest... languages, computers, accounting, etc.  Take communication courses - interpersonal communication, business writing, persuasive speech,  and public speaking.  Take courses in federal criminal justice course(s) and a constitutional course.  Stay in top physical shape.  Learn and practice how to handle weapons.  Take/teach personal defense.  Have excellent recommendations.  Participate in internships through your local or state police agencies or in your area of future expertise.
