okay, so i've just graduated high school, and .. well.. i've always been really interested in s*x as awkward as that sounds. and i was thinking that for a career i'd like to be a s*x therapist. i think it would be a perfect job for me. i've tried looking it up online how to become one, but i didn't find much. can someone please tell me how people go about becoming a s*x therapist?

i can't really ask my parents how to go about this because the first thing they would think is "Oh god, she's a nymphomaniac..." haha.

  1. In the UK an organisation called Relate which works with couples offers training but it takes many years to do the course. It doesn't require a degree as far as I know, but a previous qualification in counselling, psychology or nursing is needed.

Some hypnotherapists work as a specialist in psychosexual matters, but they have less training than a s*x therapist.

A related career is the surrogate sexual partner. This is a person who has clients referred to them by a s*x therapist and has s*x with the client.

A web search on s*x therapist training may give you some useful leads.

  2. I think the first step toward becoming any sort of therapist is to move from the psychology category to getting a degree in psychology.  With a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, you can become a therapist, and who knows what you'll want to specialize in by then?

  3. Go to med school then specialize
