I am turning 21, and I've decided to start college.I would love to go back to school to become a sexologist, and I have been looking on-line to see what classes I would have to take to become a sexologist, but there are only answers for the UK. I live in MA so I don't know if I can go to a community college or what. Can someone please help me!!!

  1. You won't get into graduate school with an online degree especially since the degree you want is sexology or some kind of psychology. Consider a conventional college that is regionally accrediated.

  2. Hi Ashley,

You might want to explore traditional online psychology degrees, and human behavioral course work. The association of s*x to human behavior can be something that you specialize in upon graduation, but the basics of human behavior and how people relate to one another is fundamental to psychology. Once you have the background and educational base in psychology and human behavior, you can transition that education and apply your practice to any subject you like; sports psychology, child psychology, sexual psychology, etc....

Do a little research on some psychology and human behavior online degree programs, and get in touch with some of the people who work at those schools. They can help you decide if the course work within their degree programs will allow you to pursue a sexologist career upon graduation. More than likely you will be practicing human sexual behavior, but you can call it anything you like.

Here's a list of online psychology degrees schools, all of which are accredited, and the degrees are equivalent to what you would learn in a traditional classroom.

Hope that helps, good luck in your search.
