  1. Same as anywhere else in the US:  four years of college, four years of medical school, 1 year of internship [optional for some specialties] and 3-5 years or more of residency.  Some docs elect to do a fellowship following residency.


  2. How old are you?  Are you sure that you want to be a urologist?  I don't want to sound negative, but you need to know what urologists mostly do.  You have to put a scope in men's private parts.  You have to stick your finger up their butts to check their prostates.  I'm not trying to be nasty, but that is mostly what urologists do.  Also, you get urine on you a lot. You won't survive just having women patients because men have more problems than women in that area.

  3. You should be asking these questions in jobs or careers because they have nothing to do with Boston.
