  1. They have a school where they teach you and can hire you from there.

    I think it's either in or near Disney World

Cal Arts is heavily subsidized by Disney.  They hire a lot of its graduates.  Once you get hired by them, they have internships and (long) training programs.  You can work your way up to the point where you are able to create animated cartoons, but I should warn you, John Lessiter was at Pixar in essence because he was let go after his attempt to get Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are off the ground failed.  There is a heirarchy for that sort of thing and it usually takes years to work your way up it.

  3. It doesn't matter your education, you just need to have a good demo reel.  But that isn't easy.  Below is a page which has demo reels of working professionals, from pixar, to ILM to disney.  Look at those as a goal.  Also get involved with the online community.  Enter competitions, critique the work of others... and have your own work critiqued (as you are building demo-reel material).
