I don't have any web sites to refer you to but I do know it takes over 100,000.00 dollars to get started.

You get licensed in your state.  Most bondsmen are simply agents for a few different national insurance companies.  A bond, is simply a promise to pay a certain amount of money upon a given event.  They are issued by a few insurance companies and the bondsmen essentially act as agents in selling that insurance (and determining if they want to sell that policy).   Each state is different.  If you want to know more, call your local bondsman, make an appointment and sit down and discuss the business with him.
