I'm a freshman. I was a cheerleader for 7th & 8th grade.

I need to be able to do cart-wheels, round offs, and back flips (possibly). Any suggestions?

Also how can i keep beat better and do better at jumps?

  1. cart wheels and round offs are very eazy. back flips arent that much. practice at home

  2. sign up to a cheercenter near you and take tumbling and stunt classes they help alot.

  3. Look up gyms that have private tumbling. Never underestimate how helpful privates can be. I did group tumbling and barely got anywhere. I went to a private and they identified the problem in my backhandspring. For jumps..stretch as much a possible. When i watch Tv i do sit-up or v-ups during comericals. During the show I stretch my splits or rest. Youtube jump videos. Me explaining it in words wont be as helpful as actually seeing them done. Learn from other girls. Watch cheer comps on espn or go watch a level 5 team practice. Watch how they jump and try to be like them

AMERICAN CHEERLEADER Mag. is a lifesaver. Its a must have for cheerleaders!
