  1. sounds crazy, but im assuming you might have a staircase in your house so what i would do is just run up and down the stairs a few times. you dont have to go to a gym, but doing this everyday (runnning up and down several times) you will improve your strength and endurance.  if you have a tredmill, i would suggest running at a slight incline.  do squats, and the most important thing: train ALL OF YOUR MUSCLES! you use muscles all over your body to run! that includes arms, and everything. squats, lifting weights, situps, and all of this will truly help improve your running.  when your running, try to relax.  breathe slow, deep breaths. breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.  focus on your breathing when your runnign, and this will help you. if your breathing continues to shorten after a few weeks of training, i would see a doctor to make sure you dont have asthma. if you do have asthma, your doctor will prescribe you an inhaler and medicine you can use before you run. a lot of my friends have to do this. good luck!

  2. run in cross country 2 build ur stamina

  3. If you are a short distance runner, you should focus on hills. Running up hills improves endurance and improves your speed (which is crucial for short distance). It is an injury free workout. This works if you have a steep hill nearby.

What I do for hills is I run fast up and jog down for 3 to 6 times.

Also, Cross country training could help, but the distance could be too far...

    Hope it helps
