  1. Volleyball is a very quick sport that takes alot of quick thinking.  If you want to improve your skills while in the game you need to practice with people you are comfortable with.  I say this becuase with friends you are able to take advice and listen alot easier.  Make sure the people you practice with are better then you so they can tell you where you need to improve.  Even though your position might not require it, practice digs, sets, recieves, spikes, serves, quick sets, blocks, and anything else that you can think of.  All of them are fundimental to the game.  For sets just lie on your bed and set the ball in the air; working on your hand positions and hieght.  For digs just practice getting your hands into position correctly and quickly.  So take a ball and dig it, clap your hands behind your back, and then return them into their position.  For spikes you can practice against a wall, practice the spin of the ball.  Make sure you hit it from the top of the ball and with a full palm.  Serves you need to practice your accuracy, not necicarily power.  It is better to get the ball on the court then out, obviously.  I hope it helps!

  2. Join a volleyball club. Camps are really good too. Make sure that you always ask your coaches if you are doing anything wrong! And practice makes perfect!

Lift weights if you want to get good at serving, when you serve make sure you have a good toss, and a strong firm hit.

When you bump, dont swing your arms, just come up with your knees.

When you set, set with your fingertips! If you slap the ball the referee will call you

When you spike, do your approach, and if you are unsure of the set, just bump it over!

  3. PRACTICE!!

  4. Find a good coach, sign up with a good club, be part of a good team with regular practice, and real games (not just to bump the ball in your back yard).

Remember your experience comes from real games, and whether your team can win is decided by the coach (drafting players, set up plays, gel up team...).

  5. Just practice your skills. Ask people what your doing right and wrong. And always be a team player. Coaches want people who are good leaders and team players. Oh, and it doesn't hurt to be loud when your on the court. MINE! OUT! 32! You get the point.

32 is a certain kind of set up for hit, if you didn't know.

  6. setting to ur self while laying down. pushups help woth strength. be positive no matter what.  a good volleyball player is someone who plays for the love of the game not someone who gets everything perfect.  hang in there.

  7. Warm up. stretch your arms and legs. Don't pull though!

Then do how you hit a ball but without a volleyball. When you practice enough and realize the mistakes you made during a game, then you will use the volleyball and practice.

  8. well you can just buy a volleyball and pepper with a friend or someone else who plays volleyball.  If you do have a friend that plays v-ball then ask them to give you pointers and hopefully that will help you. :)
