How to become a higher level teaching assistant????

Hi, my mum is at the moment a qualified teaching assistant in the uk. She is now wondering how she should go about looking to become a Higher level teaching assistant. Is there anyone that knows where she should start? Any recommended websites or colleges she could go to in LONDON? thank you...??? Btw how long would it take?

  1. I think the HLTA training normally lasts one year.

    Probably the best place to ask is her school, as they may have links with a local college, or another school that provides training.

    Failing that, the local authority will be a good point of contact as they will have experience of this across your county.
