Go to college and get a degree in teaching with a kindergarten endorsement. This is basically it, but check the requirements for your state.

It depends on each university/state. At my college (and I go to school in NH) you have two choices. Certification in early childhood education or elementary education.

It will vary depending on the state you go to college in and the state you want to teach in.  The very first step, though, is to enroll in a university and start working towards a degree in early childhood or elementary education.

Depends on the requirements per state.  Going to college is going to be your first step though, and don't focus on one grade as your chances of getting employed would drop tremendously.  If you like the age group then check into primary grades (prek thru 2nd).
