i think being a lawyer would be a great choice for me but i wanna know what it takes to become one. i know you have to go to law school after college, but what else?

  1. "Politics" and "law" are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

    And,"law school" is "college".

You like reading "now", you won't after "law school".

  3. 1) Do well in school.

    2) Get accepted by an accredited college, continue doing well.

    3) Graduate, and take the LSAT.

    4) Get a high score on the LSAT, and get accepted to a law School.

    5) Do well while in law school, and apply for an internship with a law firm.

    6) Graduate from law school. Take the BAR and pass.

  4. Hi, I hope you do go to law school I have been a lawyer for best part of 30 years and its a great life. Here are a few pointers if you are serious about it. First go off you have to train yourself to be accurate in your thinking and communications, no more "wanna" no more writing in lower case when it should be capitalised. It is very important that you are precise and say exactly what you mean. If you want to be really successful as a lawyer, you need to specialise. Go to university and get a degree in something you enjoy, say a mechanical engineer or a civil engineer may even be some sort of medical degree such as a nurse or dentist or perhaps social work such as child protection. I say this because when you then go on to law school and obtain your law degree and pass the Bar Exam for your state, you can then offer a law firm your expertise as a specialist and you will find that you will have more briefs than you can handle.I think that is the best way forward for you, you will find general law work such as drafting wills or conveying property quite dull, Tort Cases can bore you to tears, and who want to stand up to their necks in the cesspools of divorce cases. Good luck to you hope it works out.

  5. so go to law school! you have enough time to decide, i would concentrate on doing well in HS so you could get into a good undergraduate college...little by little. You don't have to research law schools for a while...

  6. well get really good grades in high school and go to a good college for 4 - 5 years then get really good grades in college the you have to talke the lsat with is the law sat test to get into law school. its like the test you take to get into college but for law. then go to a really good college graduate then talk the bar test with is 8 hours i believe and its over  two day schedule.
