How to become a legal guardian of a child that is adopted by my wife's parents.?

Biological parent is my wife and living with us including the child withing the past 8 years.

  2. Once again, I IM'd dad on this one.  He is a paralegal the specializes in Family  Law:

    As the child is adopted, it making no difference if the adoptive parents are relatives or not.  For tax purposes, you ae the household that is providing for the needs of the child, and no other may claim th child on thier taxes.  THis is a legal precedent, showing intent and purpose on your household's part and also the adoptive parents intent as well.  Should a decision be necesary by the Court, this will give weight to your arugment for the child to become yours.  If the adoptive parents will co-operate, all tht needs to be done is for them to 'sign off' on the moving papers to allow you to become legal guardians.  However, you should know that at any time for no reason at all, the guardianship can be recinded by the adoptive parents, and the child would have to be returned to the adopitve parents.
