I live in Evansville Indiana. I am taking my pre-reqs to enter the nursing program next year. Once I start the nursing program I would like to get a job as a ptient care tech during school. There are a couple of community colleges around here (Ivy tech, henderson community college, owensboro community college). I have done some research online and found I have to have certification for this job. How do I obtain this certification? I looked on the schools website and I ind nothing. There are several big hospitals around here and there are a lot of postings for patient care techs - but I dont know what i need to do to apply for those jobs. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. I don't have a answer for you, but good for you for going into nursing. I think this is what I might want to do after I'm done Home schooling my kids. What exactly would be the duties of your job?, you got me interested. My daughter also wants to be a nurse.
