  1. Different states have different laws.  Call a hospital or clinic laboratory in your city and ask for specifics.  I believe the training is a bit more extensive now since the outbreak of HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis, and extremely high incidences of STD.  

    You may also wish to contact your local blood bank and get information.
