How to become a pilot?

I am thinking of getting my pilot's license, and would like to know the beth path to take in my future if I want to be a pilot. I am in 10th grade now, and I would like to know what I would have to do next to accomplish this.

Getting a Private Pilot's certificate will cost about $6-7,000 these days. You may start taking lessons now, however you can't solo (fly by yourself under your instructor's supervision)until you are 16 in powered aircraft and then you must be 17 to obtain your certificate.

If you can, try to find a club at a local airport. That will generally save you about 20% on overall costs of flying.
