  1. Some schools that actually offer an automotive engineering technology/technician major are Andrew University, Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, Central Michigan University, Colorado State University - Pueblo, Ferris State University, Indiana State University, Minnesota State University - Mankato, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Pittsburg State University, SUNY - Farmingdale, Souther Illinois University - Carbondale, Weber State university, and Western Michigan University.

But I would actually suggest you major in Mechanical Engineering.  You can then do a concentration in automotive or even get a master's in Automotive.  Mechanical engineering will give you a broader engineering background, but almost all engineering backgrounds are broad in the undergraduate level.  Almost any school that offers a four year engineering program has mechanical engineering--it is one of the traditional engineering programs.

MIT is a VERY competitive engineering school.  It has all of your basic requirements---test scores, grades, etc.  I would say...math and science are very important to the school especially since it is a specialized technology school.

Good luck and feel free to e-mail me with questions!
