How to become an event producer?

im not really sure what they are called, but i want to become like one of those guys who produce concerts and all that.. i was looking into getting into that type of line of job, my question is what course do i take to be properly in that industry? and what type of companies are there like this? lastly is at what kind of position do you start of?

OK I'm a rapper...no joke...so what you do is recruit your local talent depending on genre ,rap, rock ,blues etc.convince them you can get them exposed ..put on a free concert for starters that way there is no financial risk.later on do a little cover charge gig remember if you hustle up the event that makes you the promoter ,event coordinator ,or all around popular guy ,....if you play your cards right
