Question:

How to become less self-aware?

I analyze everything I do, how I act towards others, what I say and especially my thoughts. I'm too self-absorbed and never really seem to be thinking about other people. I constantly think about what I'm thinking about, so much that it sometimes stresses me out. How can I focus a little more on other people?

  1. I don't know, maybe meditate?  Maybe you need to relax, you sound way too up-tight.

  2. Volenteer to work for some local organization that helps the poor.  When you start comparing your life to theirs you will soon come out of your own ego trip.

  3. The first step is to not ask about it on this website. That re instills those thoughts in your brain. Get a hobby, get your mind so busy, you forget that.
