How to become smarter?

Question

i want to go to a really good high school. Well cass tech or Renaissance high in michigan. But I'm scared I'm not smart enough for it. I really want to go to at least one of them,but don't know if I'm smart enough. I think my school is slow only because I'm in a bad neighborhood. How do i know if I'm stupid? Please high school leads to a good college. AND IM NOT GOING TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE OR SOME STUPID COLLEGE. Please my intelligence is on the line

You seem very intelligent!  I know high school is a little rough sometimes...  Believe me, I know what you are going through.  Just stay strong and work hard.  All you can do is put 100% into what you are doing.  Another thing that might help, is if you read more.  In high school I started reading book that interested me, and it helped.  My grammar improved and I noticed several other changes.  Good luck and stay strong!
