How to become un-shy?

I am in one of the most popular clique of girl's in my school and I'm known as the pretty quiet one and i'm tired of people calling me mute and when i try to talk i cant think of anything to say how do i become un-shy?

this happens to me too,it because you are quiet sometimes and when you wanna talk you feel kinda shamed, just talk like according to the situation.. try to give good views to the subjects!! don't care about what people will say,this is you...enjoy talking and good luck.. cause this actually worked for me!

just talk about or ask about random things even if u know the answer, then when they answer try n build on it.
