How do you start an Auto biography?

I would suggest picking out a current event in your life, one that has recently had or will have an impact on your life, and use that as the first chapter.  Perhaps something you have to make a decision about?  Explain that event, but don't tell what you have decided to do.

Instead, go back to your earliest memories and begin describing your life, dwelling especially on those things that have helped make you who you are today, and how you got to this point in your life when you have to make this decision.

For instance... you've been offered a scholarship to go to school at a VERY prestigious school like Harvard etc., but you're a little afraid of going there because you come from a small town and are not used to big, crowded places where the people you meet come from so may different cultures and degrees of wealth and talent, etc.  Do you go?  Or do you stick with what you know and go to the local university?

Whatever you choose, remember that people don't want to read about all the unimportant tiny little details UNLESS... they have some bearing on your life and how you came to be the person you are.

At the end, tell about your decision and why you decided that way.  In fact, often people are able to MAKE the decision just by writing about their lives.  It gives them a fresh look at the things that are and aren't important to you.

I myself have always had trouble with this as well.

But here's what I suggest.

First think about when you were born, your background, where you are from. Think about your parents and what they did when you were growing up.

Then you may wanna think of what or who really had an impact on your life.
