  1. The same way you would behave in front of any other person: with courtesy and respect.

  2. If you ever have a chance to meet someone from the Royal Family I think they have one of their people give you a short etiquette lesson so you don't make a fool of yourself.

  3. One could always mimic their manners and behave or misbehave as the situation warrants.

  4. many answers.

Depends on when, where, how, & why you are meeting them.

  5. That's a good question.  My brother-in-law just sold shoes to Princess Michael of Kent at the store he works in at NYC and he treated her like a regular person because he didn't know who she was until she produced her credit card (inscribed HRH Princess Michael of Kent) and told him to send her the next catalog to Kensington Palace.   Because he didn't know who she was, he treated her like any other customer with respect and courtesy.  He said she was very friendly and didn't expect special treatment.

  6. You would behave respectfully towards a member of the Royal Family,no matter what country you are from;Americans do not have to bow or curtsy to any Royals but need to address them properly. The Queen of the UK wold first be addressed as "Your Majesty" and then "Ma'am." Other HRHs would be addressed as "Your Royal Highness",then as "Sir" or "Ma'am."They should be treated just as well as you would treat any one that you are meeting, with courtesy, respect, grace, and dignity.Good manners apply to everyone!

  7. Always "bow or curtsey" if you want to show respect (ONLY the 1st time you meet them that day.")  Call a Duke/Duchess "your Grace" and "sir or Ma'am" after that.  When introduced to the Queen, curtsey and say "Your Majesty" and the rest of the day call her "ma'am."  This is a respectful title and welcomed.  If its the Queen, Charles or William, never walk BY them, walk 3 feet behind them!  This is one of the things Fergie did when around Princess Diana (and she stopped only after marrying Andrew.)  By doing this, Sarah showed her respect for Princess Diana's 'station' and got her friends in the Queen and Prince Philip (lol, that goodwill wouldn't last long!)

  8. If you recognize them at the time, a bow of the head is always correct. If you don't realize who they are, just treat them as you would with any person, with common courtesy and respect.
