  1. For more control on the volleyball, try to use the middle of your hand, that is if you bump it. For a set, use your fingertips and pass it directly to the person your setting it too. For a better serve, try overhand throw the volleyball in the air, and hit it with the palm of your hand.

  2. The main thing is to make sure that the surface of your body that you use to make contact (ex: you forearm or palm) is flat. If it isnt flat, the ball usually ricochets. When you go to make contact, move kinda slow and smooth and follow through. If you hit it really fast and abruptly, you lose control. Hope it helps :)

  3. for a better pass you need to square your body to where you want the ball to go.

Also don't jump into the ball, or raise your arms up let the ball do the work, bend your knees and come up into the ball like you are in ready position and then move up as you hit the ball

for setting use your fingertips if you want it to go behingd you use your thumbs in front of you use your fingertips.

for serving, if you are serving it too much to the right move to the center or left of the court and so on.

Oh yeah and if you are standing sideways and want the ball to go over the net, turn your arm exactly where you want the ball to go. Good luck

    Hope that helps

  4. If you are passing the ball off of your arms try this exercise.  Put a wooden spoon under each arm pit.  Now have someone throw the ball at you and attempt to pass it but the spoons have to stay under your arms.  This keeps you low and your arms in place.  Also while you are passing, watch the ball all the way to your arms.  When the ball finally makes contact with your arms you should be looking directly a the ball and your arms.  If someone were watching you they shold not be able to see the white of your eyes because you are looking down at your arms.  This keeps your arms ready for the ball.  Have fun!

  5. first make sure your fore arms are flat, if they aren't that will throw it off. Also make sure you stay low to the floor and don't move your arms, use your legs to pass. If you lift your arms it'll cause you to swing and loose control of the volleyball. If you want the volleyball to go a shorter distance don't use as much legs, if you want it to go farther use more legs. You'll get the hang of it and eventually know what to do! Good Luck!

  6. Well me personally, i have played volleyball 4 years in high school, and 1 year in college, and in order to stop the ball from going all over when you pass the ball, you need to keep your knees bent, and you need to make sure that your arms do not go above your chest, because when you are passing the ball, or "bumping" as well call it in Mississippi, you want your hands to be together in a low position, knees bent, on the tips of your feet so you can be ready to move to the ball, and when the ball comes to you, take a step forward and lean into hitting the ball and try to get it to the setter.  Let the setter be your main focus when passing the ball, and make sure that your hands don't go above your chest.  Hope this was good information!!!

  7. Make sure that when you get there that you are on your feet. This helps with balance.

Square up and face your target.

This helps you direct where the ball is going.

    push with your legs.

  8. I used to practice hitting my v-ball off the house roof.  practice practice practice.  just make sure no windows are around.

  9. I had that problem but, i just practiced and practiced and i got better.

  10. 1. first you have to imagine that your arms are the floor, just lifted/elevated to adjust the bounce of the volley ball.

    2. when you pass or volley, bend your knees (like sitting in an imaginary chair) to support the "floor" you are providing the ball. Meaning its not just the arms that should work (if this is the case, its called laziness!)

    3. imagine and concentrate to the direction you want your pass to go
