Question:

How to better deal with a company to get a refund?

I have puchased a $1,500 vacuum from a small distributor two months ago. Now I'm not happy with the vacuum performance. I have called the company and told them that I want to return vacuum back and get a refund. The owner of that business stated it may take two-three weeks or more to get back my money because he has to sell my vacuum first. I think he is giving me a run a round and do not want to give me a refund. What should I do? Any advise? Recommendations?

  1. Try calling the manufacturer's sales representative.  Be polite but explain why you don't like the vac and further what the store told you.

  2. buy everything at sams club or alike stores. u can take back the item regardless of anything! you could have bought it 2 yrs ago, n they still gotta take it back. i worked at sams at returns and the merchandises we got back................... but, everything is 100 percent refundable! any appliances ur better off getting it there.

    good luck gettin ur refund!

  3. It is possible that he is a small scale distributer and does not have $1,500 in disposible income as he has reinvested what you paid him. Shop wiser in the future, there is not much you can do besides litigation so I would wait the couple of weeks first, but remember to hassle him often!
