  1. Very few things in life are truly free...

But, I'm with you... I don't want to pay the Telco's extra money for ever little feature that just makes sense to have as included features.

If you don't mind upgrading your current telephone, here is one suggestion.

The new Panasonic DECT 6.0 phones, model KX-TG9332C have two very good features:

Call Block - Blocks phone calls from a list of caller-ID's that you register into the telephone.  Of course, you will have to be subscribed to Caller ID through your Telco (I use VoIP, and Caller ID is a free extra feature with my service)

Night Mode - Prevents the phone from ringing for the period of time span that you program into it.  I program mine to not ring between the hours of 9 PM - 6 AM.  This way I'm not disturbed by wrong number calls in the middle of the night.

These are great new features built directly into the new DECT 6.0 telephones... it's about time manufactures started implementing call block features into the new phones.

  2. You can buy a call blocker from Digitone.com or from http://www.privacycorps.com   There is no monthly charge. It is well worth the money. You can block ANY number, a block of numbers, or all from different area codes, like 800, etc. Your phone will not even ring. Well worth the $99.00 price tag. I have about 50 numbers blocked, (telemarketers, mostly.) You must have caller ID service for these to work. That's it.

  3. wen they call tell them to stop calling
