  1. you can use NetDog : http://www.netdogsoft.com , just add "images.google.com" to always blocked website list in NetDogAdmin.exe

  2. I recommend scanning your system for spyware and trojans, because I've never heard of any malware that would make Google Images pop up out of nowhere.

To block websites easily, you can edit your HOSTS file.

    In Windows XP:

It's in windows\system32\drivers\etc. The file named simply, "hosts". Right click on it, click properties, and un-check read-only, then click okay. Now open the file with Notepad. To block a site, like say... irritatingpopups.com or something, you would add the following line in the appropriate place below the instruction block.

    127.0.0.1 irritatingpopups.com

    and maybe also

    127.0.0.1 www.irritatingpopups.com

This tells Windows that when something asks to go to irritatingpopups.com, Windows should look at 127.0.0.1 for the site. 127.0.0.1 is your localhost loopback. Unless you're running a web server, nothing will be there. It's what Spybot does to block bad websites when you use its immunization tool. When you're done editing, save the file, and re-apply its read-only status.

Now tell all your friends how to do this, and look like a computer god to them. Remember that you edited it, though. It's too easy to forget down the line that you blocked a particular site, and not be able to remember how to access it. Removing the edits from the hosts file will sort this.
