To block an 'anonymous' calls from your home phone, you need to order Caller ID, and 'Anonymous Call Rejection'. With most companies the 'ACR' is offered along with Caller ID at no extra charge. Just use *77 to activate, and *87 to turn off. This will not allow any calls without a CID display number to not get through.!! (Works great with Verizon.)
